Rebecca is currently a graduate student at Northwestern University studying Marriage and Family Therapy. She completed her undergraduate work at BYUI in Marriage and Family Studies.
Rebecca's goal is to help others feel heard, valued, and respected while creating an encouraging environment for growth and progression. Rebecca served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoys helping others navigate their spirituality, no matter what that looks like.
Rebecca has worked in victim's advocacy for children who suffered abuse and sought to find the resources they needed to report and navigate the process. In this, she understands how unique each person's experience can look and has seen firsthand the struggle victims go through in feeling understood by those closest to them and how lonely the process can be. She is also aware of the disappointment that can be experienced when justice isn't the way one imagined. She wants to help ensure those that come to her feel they have a voice.
Working with individuals in early adulthood is also something she is passionate about. Being just on the edge of passing her early twenties, she knows what it feels like to miss home and begin the process of learning how to function in a new environment. Whether you are in high school, college, or graduate school Rebecca wants to help you find hope and see that your early adulthood doesn't have to be uncomfortable. Common stressors many struggle with at this age include anxiety and depression. These can feel overwhelming combined with the growing pains of life. Rebecca has witnessed the strength and resilience that can come from therapy in these stages. As a therapist, Rebecca works to be client-focused and aims to see those she meets through their own personal lens.
In her free time she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors with her husband, and working out.
