Sandy is a Marriage and Family Therapist who enjoys working with adolescents, teens, couples, and families as they navigate the many relationships they experience in life. Her desire is to offer them space, safety, and compassion to experience and communicate their feelings and emotions and to help them identify complexities and narratives that are holding them back or keeping them stuck at some point in their lives.

Sandy also enjoys working with those who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, pornography use by both men and women, body shame issues, self-esteem, eating disorders, faith challenges, having healthy relationships and connections, conflict in the family, parenting, regulating emotions and mood, and learning to value and explore the self. Sandy is a kind, empathetic, and fun, but also a straightforward therapist who advocates for truth, transparency and authenticity. She believes very strongly that people have the ability to heal within them. We just have to work together to discover that healing. She welcomes all who are committed to work on themselves, their relationships, and their families – or those who simply have a glimmer of hope or who want to be committed to work on those things to come and visit with her. Sandy has been married for 19 years and is proud to call herself a "boy mom" of two rough-housing and fun-loving teenagers. She also has several nieces and nephews and has served in music, youth, church, and leadership groups since she was an adolescent.  She enjoys some good pop or country music, hiking, watching comedy movies, spending time with her family in the mountains, storm-chasing with her sons, playing with her ducks, and drinking a Coca-Cola or Dr. Pepper.

Sandy especially enjoys working with teens, families, and couples, and draws from integrated and evidence-based individual and family therapy practices.

To all who are considering reaching out to someone or to those who are hurting or hoping for calm, peace, understanding, or answers, please come. If there are others you know who are suffering, please encourage them to reach out as well. Sandy hopes to visit with you soon. To set up an appointment with Sandy, please email scheduling@tranquilitycounselingutah.com or call or text (801) 845-4406.
